Abstract
A detailed questionnaire containing questions about the Cwricwlwm Cymreig was completed by nintey-four of the ninety-six student teachers on a third year BA in primary education with QTS programme at a university in Wales. The findings indicated that there was overwhelming support for the Cwricwlwm Cymreig but that there were several challenges which were faced when planning for this area. The danger of schools neglecting the humanities was highlighted as RE, history and geography were considered to make a highly significant contribution to pupils' understanding of the Cwricwlwm Cymreig. These findings have implications for all who are concerned with the delivering of the Cwricwlwm Cymreig in Wales.
