Open Call for Early Career Researcher Editorial Board Members
The Wales Journal of Education invites applications from Early Career Researchers (ECRs) to join its Editorial Board. New members will begin a three-year term in April 2026, and support the publication of high-quality peer reviewed research across WJE’s bi-annual issues. Applicants can be based anywhere in the world, but must currently hold an academic position at a university or HEI.
The role of an Editorial Board member is as follows:
- Attend one formal meeting of the Editorial Board each year;
- Review a minimum of two submitted articles for the Journal per year;
- Serve a three-year term on the Editorial Board (renewable for a second term in agreement with the Editors).
To apply, send a maximum of 500 words to Chris Richards at the University of Wales Press (chris.richards@press.wales.ac.uk), describing your proposed contribution to the Editorial Board, and your academic experience – especially in publishing and reviewing for academic journals. Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. BST on 10th March 2026. Applications will be evaluated by the Editors and successful candidates notified by 31st March.
